cultivation techniques

Germination: soak the seeds in warm water (the temperature is about the same as that of face washing water) for 3 to 10 hours until the seeds absorb water and swell. For common seeds that are easy to germinate, this work can be omitted.

Seeding method: for small seeds that are difficult to be clamped by hand or other tools, wet one end of the toothpick with water, stick the seeds one by one on the surface of the substrate, cover the substrate 1 cm thick, and then put the seeded flowerpot into water. The depth of water is 1/2 ~ 2/3 of the height of the flowerpot, and let the water slowly soak up (this method is called "pot leaching method"); For seeds with larger seeds that can be clamped by hand or other tools, directly put the seeds into the substrate, press 3 × 3 cm interval on demand. After sowing, cover the substrate with a thickness of 2 ~ 3 times that of seed grain. After sowing, you can use a spray and a fine hole sprinkler to wet the sowing substrate. Later, when the pot soil is slightly dry, you can spray water again. You should still pay attention to the watering force not to be too large to avoid washing up the seeds;

After sowing: after the seedlings are unearthed, the film shall be uncovered in time, and the seedlings shall be exposed to the sun before 9:30 a.m. or after 3:30 p.m. every day, otherwise the seedlings will grow very weak; After most of the seeds are ready, they need to be properly planted: pull out the sick and unhealthy seedlings, so that there is a certain space between the left seedlings; When most of the seedlings grow 3 or more leaves, they can be transplanted into pots

Pinching: before flowering, pinching is generally carried out twice to promote the germination of more flowering branches: after one to two weeks in the pot, or when the seedling is 6 ~ 10cm high and has more than six leaves, the top tip is removed, and the lower 3 ~ 4 leaves are retained to promote branching. After 3 ~ 5 weeks of the first pinching, or when the lateral branch grows to 6 ~ 8 cm, the second pinching is carried out, that is, the top of the lateral branch is removed and the four leaves under the lateral branch are retained. After two times of plucking, the plant type will be more ideal and the number of flowers will be more.
