Annual plant, 30-100 cm tall, with erect stems, branches usually near the base, and branches spreading obliquely. The leaves are pinnately divided, 2-9 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide. The lobes are linear lanceolate, the edges are serrated, the tooth ends often have long and thin awns, and the base of the teeth usually has a gland.

Temperature control: the temperature can be reduced from 22 ℃ to 18 ℃ after potting, and can be reduced to 15 ℃ after several weeks, and can be reduced to 12 ~ 14 ℃ before and after flowering. Such a temperature is the most ideal for the formation of good plant shape, but it may be difficult to achieve this condition in actual production. Therefore, generally speaking, as long as it is above 5 ℃, it will not be damaged by freezing, and it can grow well between 10 ℃ and 30 ℃.

Water and fertilizer management: the key to water management is to use well drained medium. Although it is important to keep the medium moist, it is necessary to properly dry the medium before each watering. Of course, the medium should not be too dry to cause plant wilting. For those completely cultivated in artificial medium, 20-10-20 and 14-0-14 fertilizers should be used for fertilization, and the concentration of 200 ~ 250PPM should be applied alternately once every 7 ~ 10 days. When the temperature is low in winter, the use of 20-10-20 fertilizer should be reduced. If the medium is ordinary soil, a proper amount of compound fertilizer can be mixed as base fertilizer before the medium is loaded into the basin. If fertility is insufficient, water-soluble fertilizer shall be applied.
