As for the requirements of bottle gourd for environmental conditions, the general crops are based on temperature, light, moisture, soil and nutrients. These important environmental conditions are indispensable. The following analysis is made one by one:

1. Temperature: bottle gourd is a kind of thermophilic plant. Its growth temperature ranges from 15 ℃ to 36 ℃. It is not suitable for bottle gourd to grow below or above this range. The most suitable growth temperature is 20 ℃ to 30 ℃. When the temperature is lower than 12 ℃, the growth will stop. When the temperature is lower than 6 ℃, freezing injury will occur. When the temperature is higher than 40 ℃, it will be affected. It can grow normally at 36 ℃ and the fruit will develop well.

2. Light: bottle gourd is a light loving crop, which can reduce the occurrence of diseases and improve the growth and fruit bearing rate under sufficient light. In case of continuous overcast and rainy days, insufficient light will easily lead to diseases. In serious cases, flowers and fruits will fall. The light intensity should be improved in various ways.

3. Water content: bottle gourd is a wet, waterlogged and drought intolerant crop. During the growth process, the requirements for moisture are relatively high. The soil moisture is 60%-85% and the air humidity is 70%-80%. In the seedling stage and the first flowering stage, the water requirement is relatively small. Generally, the soil is watered with dry water, and the soil moisture is 60%-70%. Water consumption during melon growing period is large, so water must be supplied in time.
