Planting technology of Shandong maple

1. Seed picking. The mother tree should be a mature plant with good quality. Seeds are collected in autumn when the five-cornered maple wing fruit changes from green to yellowish brown, dried for 2 to 3 days after seed collection, and stored in bags after removing impurities.

2. Prepare the ground for the bed. The nursery land should have flat terrain, convenient irrigation and drainage, deep soil layer and fertile soil. Carefully prepare the land, apply 3,000 to 5,000 kg of manure or soil fertilizer, 100 kg of cake fertilizer, 40 kg of urea or diammonium per acre, and build a flat bed.

3. Sowing. Sow more in spring. Before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water at 50°C for 10 minutes, then add cold water for one day and night, remove them and place them in a leeward sunny place, rinse them with warm water once a day, and stir them evenly. When 50% of the seeds have split, they can be sown. Drilling, the row spacing is 20 to 30 cm, the sowing depth is 2 cm, 15 to 20 kg per mu, and the soil thickness is 1.5 to 2 cm. Cover with grass after sowing and keep the soil moist.

4. Management. Generally, the seeds can germinate 15 to 20 days after sowing, and the mulch can be removed. When the seedling height is 10 cm, the seedlings can be thinned and fixed, and the plant spacing is 10 to 15 cm. After the seedlings are settled, irrigate and fertilize once every 10 to 15 days, and apply 5 to 8 kilograms of chemical fertilizer or 500 to 750 kilograms of human excrement per mu each time.
