1 Growing conditions of bamboo
16~21℃ is the optimum temperature for bamboo growth. The annual average precipitation in the bamboo planting area is 810-1510mm, and the soil is acidic and the altitude does not exceed 810m.
2 Main points of cultivation techniques
2.1 Site selection and site preparation
2.1.1 Woodland selection
The root system of Phyllostachys pubescens is characterized by concentrated distribution and multiple lateral roots. The most suitable soil for bamboo growth should have a soil layer of 0.5m, rich in various minerals, and relatively good water storage capacity. It should be noted that contaminated soil cannot be used for bamboo cultivation. The soil acidity that Moso bamboo can tolerate is limited, and soil that is too acidic cannot be used for Moso bamboo cultivation. In addition, the gravel content in the soil should be less, and the slope should not be too large, so as not to hinder the root development of moso bamboo.
2.1.2 Site preparation and digging
Land preparation work should be carried out two months in advance. The method of mechanical ground preparation is suitable for terrain with gentle slopes. After land preparation, tree holes should be excavated, about 1m in length, 0.5-0.6m in width, and the depth should be controlled at 0.4-0.5m. If the slope is relatively large, the land preparation can also be carried out in a block or strip form. When carrying out strip land preparation, the bandwidth should be controlled at about 2m. The belt should be parallel to the contour line, and a space of 1-2m should be reserved between two adjacent belts. In the process of digging the tree hole, the impurities in the soil should be cleaned up in time, topsoil should be laid at the bottom of the hole, and base fertilizer should be applied and stirred evenly.
2.2 Density selection
The plant density is best controlled at 45 to 60 plants/㎡, and the spacing between plants and rows should be 3m × 4m.
2.3 Nursing seedlings
2.3.1 Sowing and raising seedlings
First, the bamboo seeds were immersed in 0.4% potassium permanganate solution for disinfection. Next, let the seeds dry naturally. Dig a sowing trench, 1.50m long, 0.30m wide and 0.11m deep, and then fill it with compound fertilizer. 6 sowing holes were dug in each sowing ditch, the distance between the holes was controlled at about 0.20m, and 12 to 16 bamboo seeds were placed in each seeding hole. After sowing, cover with soil and cover with water. The seeding rate should be controlled at 2.5kg/mu. After the seeds germinate, the soil should be loosened, weeded and irrigated in time. In case of heavy rainfall, pay attention to drainage.
2.3.2 ramet transplanting and raising seedlings
When using the method of ramet transplanting and raising seedlings, it should be ensured that the age of moso bamboo seedlings is not more than 1 year, and the number of moso bamboo seedlings transplanted each time is not more than 4. Transplant the bamboo seedlings to the seedbed, taking care not to damage the roots of the bamboo. The row spacing of bamboo seedlings was controlled at 40cm×40cm. One year later, the tillering method was adopted to increase the growth rate of Phyllostachys pubescens. Under normal circumstances, bamboo can become a forest within 2 years.
2.4 Afforestation season
The best afforestation time for Phyllostachys pubescens is from December to February of the following year, which can obtain better forestation effect.
