1.Choose loam or sandy loam with deep soil layer, good drainage and high organic matter content as the nursery land; perform deep ploughing before planting, apply 1000-2000kg of organic fertilizer per mu, and mix thoroughly;

(2) Seed selection and germination: take perennial Vitex branches, cut them into stem segments with scissors as Vitex seeds, soak Vitex seeds in rooting solution for 5-10 days, soaking temperature is 20-25°C, soak them well Mix the Vitex vitex seeds and moist fine sand evenly, cover them with plastic film, turn them evenly every 3-5 days, and spray water to keep them moisturizing; until one third of Vitex Vitex seeds are white;

(3) sowing: in mid-April, before sowing, the nursery ground is watered with bottom water, the Vitex japonica seeds in step (2) are washed away the fine sand, evenly spread in the planting ditch, and the depth of setting the planting ditch is 2-5 cm, cover with fine soil after sowing, and then cover with plastic film; remove the plastic film until the Vitex chinensis seeds are unearthed;

(4) Seedling stage management: water once a month between April, May and August after transplanting, apply special fertilizer to Vitex once during watering, and the amount of fertilizer per mu each time is 40-80 kg; Soil weeding.
