1. Germination

Blanch the seeds of apple bitter melon with warm water at 50-55°C, stir continuously for 15 minutes, then remove and soak in water for 36 hours. After the seeds are taken out, drain the water, wrap them in a wet towel, and place them at 30-35°C for germination. Wash them once a day with water at about 25°C. Apple bitter gourd seed coat is slightly thinner than ordinary bitter gourd seed coat, and it usually takes 4 days to germinate.

2. Temperature

Before emergence, the temperature should be kept at 25-30°C during the day and 18-22°C at night.

After the seedlings are unearthed, pay attention to lowering the temperature to prevent leggy growth and facilitate the appearance of female flowers. It is kept at 20-25°C during the day and 15-18°C at night.

The flowering and fruiting period is suitable for above 20 ℃, and about 25 ℃ is suitable. The higher the temperature in the range of 15-30°C, the more conducive to the growth of apple bitter melon - early fruiting, high yield and good quality. However, above 30℃ and below 15℃ are not good for the growth results of bitter gourd.
